Q.
Can I be assured of an independent lifestyle?
A. Oak View is perfect for active seniors
who want freedom from the worries and burdens of owning a home.
Our philosophy is to enable residents to be as social or as private
as they like. Most residents enjoy sharing meals and social
outings but, of course, all participation is voluntary.
Q. I plan to keep my
car. Is parking available?
A. There is ample parking outdoors and
in the heated, underground garage which is available for a monthly
fee. The garage has good lighting and security, and is accessible
by elevator or stairs.
Q. May I have guests
at Oak View?
A. Friends and family are always welcome
for daytime visits or overnight stays at your apartment. The main dining room and kitchen facilities may be reserved for
private entertaining at no cost.
Q. How do I select a
unit?
A. New residents may select from all unoccupied
units, although availability of some units is limited. Once you
decide on an apartment, a deposit will reserve it for a negotiable
length of time, so that you have plenty of time to sell your
house. Ten percent of the total fee, minus your deposit, is required
at the contract signing. The remainder, either in one sum or in
installments, is paid prior to moving in.
Q. I still get along
fine in my own home. Why should I consider Oak View?
A. Seniors don't move to this friendly,
carefree retirement community because they have to...it's because
they want to. The living arrangement frees residents from the
hassles of home ownership such as shoveling snow, maintaining
appliances, even changing light bulbs. Yet, residents still enjoy
the pleasurable aspects of living independently. For instance, those
who like to garden can care for a small flower bed, but don't
have to deal with tedious yard work. Plus, Oak View offers all
the benefits of living in a close-knit neighborhood -- fellowship,
security and help when you need it.
